This piece an ongoing body of work exploring the movement in metal. It introduces radial effect to achieve the movement of metal contrasted by the hand-carved stone. The piece plays with the symbolic value of ‘preciousness’ by putting gold at its centre stage and using stone to house the metal which is often the reverse way of creating jewellery.

The brooch is handcrafted; yellow jade has been carved from the rough stone and the gold has been drawn down into a very fine wire from the specially alloyed gold.

Availability
