Masterclass Giovanni Corvaja: Handling Fine Wires at Diva Antwerp, 2019

I had the wonderful opportunity to be selected by Diva Museum in Antwerp to learn how to draw fine wire by the master goldsmith Giovanni Corvaja. We started the week by alloying our own gold, learnt to draw and handle very fine wires using bespoke tools. It was fantastic to be able to see Giovanni’s work up close and also to be able to tap into his abundant knowledge and passion.

It was a truly inspirational week learning from the true master at work and looking forward to applying this experience to my own work in the near future.
